Ryler will be 17 in a couple of weeks but he has not went on an official date dance until now. He took Megan Waters to Provo Highs Homecoming Dance. Look how tall my baby is in the picture standing by me, i am not short. I am 5′8 . Ryler and T are even taller then their dad!
On sat morn Amanda had to be at the dance studio bright and early and Av didn’t have to be there until after noon so Shantell took Amanda while we stayed at the hotel. Pretty soon we got really bored and started jumping on the beds. I know….. I shouldn’t have let them, but when else are they allowed to jump on beds. Its Vegas, anything goes! I forgot how fun it can be. Reese was snapping pictures and got an awesome shot of Bre flying in the air and touching T-Y head air bound. Good picture taking Re!
Avrie had a dance convention in Las Vegas this weekend so i decided that I would take Reese and Avrie and go with my good friend Shantell and her kids. Amanda had to go to the same convention. This was Re and Av first time to Vegas…… I don’t think they knew what to think at first. I’m not sure they were to impressed with the fancy restaurants and all the sight seeing. They were happy with swimming in the hotel pool and eating at burger king. ( I finally gave in to Burger King on the way home. last meal of the trip.) The highlights of the trip, M&M store, and the vending machines at the hotel. Go figure…. 8 and 9 year olds in Vegas, what more would they want? I told them they better really enjoy those $12 a lb M&M’s. Have you ever? Thats crazy! As for me, my favorite is the gardens at the Bellagio. Loved it! It was a nice little weekend get away, but it is always good to be back home.
I haven’t posted anything for a bit cuz i was having issues with my camera and my computer, so i am just getting around to bloging about getting to babysit my sisters twins for 6 hours one day. They were only 2 weeks old and i was in heaven!
The Tooth Fairy must have a hard time finding our house cuz she is always late…… This is what i found under Reese’s pillow this morn. If any sees her, please direct her to our house.
Jonathan took Baylor and Reese and went hiking this weekend, so i was stuck with the two older boys and Av. Last night Ry and T went out with friends to dinner and to hang. So me and Av ordered brick oven pizza and was going to watch movies. Right after I got out of the shower, there was a knock on the door, Av went to answer it and informed me that it was a policemen that wanted to talk to me. I start thinking that maybe something had happened to Jonathan and the boys……… not! The cop started by asking me if I owned a ‘89′ Acura Legend?
Me, “yes”
“do you have teenage drivers?”
Me, “yes”
“well your car is involved in drive bys tonight”
I just stared at him for a long time thinking, what?, drive by? my kids?, how?, Why?, with what guns?, they only have air soft and paint ball guns, my kids have done some pretty stupid stuff, but this?
Then he said, ” they are driving around shooting silly string out of the car windows at people as they drive by them. I just need to talk to them and let them know that is not ok.”
Oh MY Gosh! He had scared the crap out of me! I thought to my self, ” my kids have really done it this time. I never thought they would ever do drive bys.”
I don’t know about this whole teenager thing. I get less sleep now then when they were 2 months old, i cant make them lay down and take a nap with me any more after they have been up all night. All the worrying……. I have never thought I might need something for anxiety until now. I miss my boys, I feel like I never see them anymore, Ry leaves for school in the morn and stays after for football and there are nights when I am in bed before he gets home. I am not needed for rides anymore and they choose to hang with their buddies on sat night instead of pizza at home with mom. I still like to meet them for lunch at least once a week, but the boys say that it is weird when I am the only mom eating with my boys and like 10 of their friends at Costa Vida. I don’t care. I want to see my boys. Anyway, I will apologize if you got silly stringed last night. At least it wasn’t in our neighborhood, since my boys are almost banned from our neighborhood, they get blamed for stuff they don’t even do. I will lock them up and ground them from the silly string.
