The Original Owens

This year was the first year in 7 years that i was just able to go and sit and eat. I didn’t have to be in charge of the little Wolfs or plan and carry out the whole dinner. It was a nice change. Robert and Lydia Hernandez had the pleasure of putting on this dinner. Big THANK YOU to them. They had the annual cake baking contest this year and Reese and I took 1st! Again! We also won the contest last year. Last year we made a Baseball diamond cake. This year I had completely forgot about it until Reese came running in after school at 4:00 and reminded me that we needed to make a cake. So we came up with something a little simpler. Batman. Reese also received his Wolf Award.

I took Reese and Avrie with me shopping sat. after Reeses hair cut. I wanted to look in a clothing store that was next to a pet store. Reese and Avrie wanted to look at the animals of course, so I told them if they were good that we would just look. LOOK. Thats it. We now have a Russian dwarf hamster. He is so cute. We couldn’t resist. I had one when i was younger and thought it might be fun for the kids. I bought a book to read, all about hamsters. It says that if you want your hamster to live its full 2 year life span, you need to let them sleep. ya right. There is 7 of us all wanting a turn with him. We better enjoy him while we can, he might not be with us very long. We now have 2 dogs, a cat, and a hamster.

  I got to babysit my sisters little boy today. He is such a cuttie! He has the same curly hair that all the cousins on my side of the family has. We had a blast. My kids love having him.
